Your teeth tell your age. A lighter, brighter smile can subtract years from your looks. If you’re dreaming of your perfect smile, if you’d like to smile “younger,” or smile without embarrassment, or smile with confidence and actually show your happiness to others, we’ve got some important information to share with you.
Because of our experience and expertise in cosmetic dentistry, we will be able to help YOU have beautiful teeth, and that’s a true gift! Here are three good reasons you will want to have your cosmetic dental work done by Dr. Coker.
Reasons To Believe Us
1.) Dr. Coker is a pioneer in the field of cosmetic dentistry in Tyler, Longview, and all of East Texas and is responsible for many of the area’s most beautiful smiles, i.e., he’s one of the premier cosmetic dentists in Texas. But it doesn’t stop there, as many people from other states also come to have Dr. Coker build their new smiles.
2.) Dr. Coker and our staff have completed hundreds of hours of state-of-the-art cosmetic courses learning how to do advanced techniques with newer and better materials.
3.) We use incredible lab technicians to ensure that the shape of your teeth and the porcelain used in your smile are as beautiful and as natural looking as possible.
Here Are Some Benefits You Will Receive
If you are the slightest bit nervous or anxious about your dental treatment, we do offer sedation so you can totally relax.
We use cosmetic-grade, translucent porcelains. By using the finest materials available we are able to produce a truly bright, yet natural-looking smile.
We use the best lab technicians who work in labs with state-of-the-art equipment, which helps ensure that you get the most beautiful, natural looking teeth imaginable.
We have albums of “before and after” photos of our patients. This enables you to imagine what can be done for your smile and helps you see what we actually accomplish on our patients. Therefore, you feel more confident about what we can do for you.
We do an amazing exam on you before we develop any kind of treatment plan. This prevents us from selling you some pretty new teeth that will fall out in a year or two due to unrecognized decay or periodontal disease you might have.
We have team members who are incredibly competent in what they do. This enables you to get the kind of outstanding results that you expect.
Our office staff members are warm and caring and really go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of. You will always feel comfortable and cared for while undergoing any procedure in our office.
Now, You’re Probably Wondering How You Can Get Started on This Process
Let me explain. A smile enhancement can be as minor as teeth whitening, a few dental veneers, or some bonding and contouring, or a smile makeover can be as complicated as replacing lost teeth with implants, treating periodontal disease, replacing fillings and crowns, using the laser for gum reshaping, and making sure your “bite” is comfortable and even.
To help you decide what you want and to explore what’s available for you, we have you come in for a consult/exam visit.
We will look at the outside of your teeth with something called an intraoral camera and then we’ll take digital x-rays to look at the inside of your teeth and a panorex x-ray which reveals in greater detail the upper and lower teeth and parts of the jaw in a single image.
Your carotid arteries which are located on each side of your neck, pass through the region visualized on the panoramic x-ray, making it possible for Dr. Coker to view whether you have any significant blockages, which appear as patchy white spots. This is called early stroke detection. They’ll also make models of your teeth and then they’ll see how your teeth fit together. You will be checked for decay, oral cancer, and gum disease.
Actually this is one exam you will enjoy – and we even offer you a hot wax treatment for your hands – just like a spa!
After your exam, you’ll be scheduled to come back in for a consultation. In the meantime, Katie will meet with Dr. Coker to go over your models and your records and they will develop an “ideal” treatment plan.
During the consultation visit, they will explain all the findings to you, address YOUR concerns and offer treatment options. They will also be able to tell you about the cost. Then, together you will decide on the order and the amount of treatment you want done. Financing options are explained at this time and a schedule of your treatment sequence is completed.
Depending upon your treatment plan, your first visit may be to prepare your teeth for your new smile. During that preparation visit, you will be offered nitrous oxide to help you relax and headphones so you can listen to your favorite type of music. If you’re really nervous, Dr. Coker offers “sedation.” To read about Lynette and her fear, click here.
At the end of this smile makeover preparation appointment, you will leave the office with beautiful “temporaries” – your trial smile. This is the day that you walk in with your old smile and walk out with your new one! During the first week with your new smile, you will look at it, feel it, and decide whether there are any changes you want to make. This is the time to make sure it’s just like you want it. Adjustments can be made to your temporaries at this time to make sure everything is perfect.
Once you’re satisfied, your case is then sent to our dental lab for fabrication. Our lab is not just a regular dental lab, but a lab that actually specializes in smile designs. These lab technicians are artists and they take all the information we send them and develop that into your beautiful smile. When this process has been completed, you will be scheduled for a “seat” appointment. Your “temporaries” will be removed and your permanent smile will be placed. Let the fun begin!
There can be a lot of misunderstanding in the field of cosmetic dentistry. We want you to make sure you can get results you’ll be proud of, so here are 7 criteria you must make sure of:
- The dentist has lots of experience in smile design.
- The dentist has had up-to-date cosmetic training and has learned about the new materials, procedures, and techniques.
- The dentist and the dental lab are experts in crafting beautiful, life-like teeth.
- The dental staff members are professional and caring.
- The dentist can show you pictures of real-life cases he/she has done.
- The dentist uses state-of-the-art equipment including a laser.
- The dentist knows how to create your new smile to complement the natural contours and aesthetics of your face.
You Will Get Your Money’s Worth!
If you’ve been thinking about improving your smile, but can’t decide what to do, make a phone call to Dr. Rick Coker’s Smile Studio, (903) 581-1777, and schedule your consult/exam appointment. Your records will be taken and Dr. Coker will be able to give you his professional opinion as to your treatment plan. You can then decide on your options. We don’t want you to be disappointed in your new smile and we go to great lengths to make sure you are pleased. All smile makeovers are not alike.
Don’t invest a lot of money in your smile if you’re not positive you will get FANTASTIC results.
Unfortunately, we have many patients who come in with tears in their eyes over the way a previous dentist built their smile. They didn’t bother to check references and to make sure that the dentist who worked on them had the experience and techniques necessary for sensational results. Don’t be one of them.
Here’s what we offer:
You will receive a consult/exam visit to help you decide on the treatment option for you. You will be able to apply for financing, if needed, through one of our favorite lenders. You will be able to suggest changes during the first couple of weeks that you are wearing your temporaries to make sure that you get the smile of your dreams.
