COVID-19
A Personal Message from Dr. Coker
A Letter to Our Patients
We understand that you may feel concerned with regards to coronavirus (COVID-19). We are writing to assure you that we are committed to protecting our patients and the wider community as we always have. The safety of our patients and our team is of the upmost importance.
At Dr. Rick Coker’s Smile Studio, we have always been rigorous in our hygiene standards, and we follow the compliance of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
We will continue, as always, to use universal hygiene and sterilization methods to ensure a hygienic visit to our office.
HERE ARE SOME ADDITIONAL PROACTIVE MEASURES WE ARE TAKING IN OUR PRACTICE:
Sanitizing of all touchpoints in the office twice a day, including seating and work spaces, door handles, rails, restrooms and other commonly used services using cleaning solutions certified to kill viruses.
We will limit all skin to skin contact (i.e. shaking hands).
We have partnered with the Organization for Safety, Asepsis, and Prevention (OSAP) who are infection control experts who work directly with the CDC Division of Oral Health to ensure we implement the best practices. This includes promoting hand washing and healthy hygiene practices among our team and patients.
A COMMITMENT FROM OUR PATIENTS
We ask that all patients wear a mask.
We encourage patients to come alone to their appointment, unless medically necessary to bring a driver.
We ask all patients who have a fever, cough, symptoms of a respiratory infection or have been exposed to a person with COVID-19, the flu, or any other communicable disease to please reschedule their appointment.
We also ask if you or anyone in your family has recently traveled to another city, state or country with large confirmed cases in the last 30 days, to please postpone your appointment for 14 days after your arrival back home.
We have always taken our infection control and sterilization procedures seriously. Patient and employee safety, sterilization, and infection control have always been a top priority for our Practice.
If you have additional questions about the coronavirus, visit the Centers for Disease Control website. We look forward to continuing to serve our patients and community.
