National Lipstick Day is a time to celebrate the bold, colorful glamour of lipstick. And, what better way to celebrate a beautiful new bright smile, than to frame it with a gorgeous new lipstick. Beautiful, white teeth almost demand a bright lipstick. Think of that lipstick as a picture frame… to outline your smile.

Some of the classic lipsticks over the years have included:
Bruised Plum by Tom Ford. It is one of the best plum-colored lipsticks of all time.
Funny Face is a fuchsia that looks either more purple or pink depending upon your skin tone. It was named after the Audrey Hepburn film.
No. 19 Fuchsia Rouge Pur Couture by YSL was first shade created by Monsieur Saint Laurent in 1979.
M.A.C. Red is a true red-orange, that the glamorous editor of Harper’s Bazaar always wears. Another M.A.C. classic is Russian Red, a cherry red that leans the slightest bit toward orange with another M.A.C. favorite, Ruby Woo. This shade is beloved for its ability to look good on virtually everyone.
Pirate by Chanel is a classic red with blue undertones. This was one of six shades formulated to mimic Coco Chanel’s signature red lip. This shade became a cult-favorite, especially after YouTube makeup artist Lisa Eldridge demonstrated its appeal in a video.
